Zaky Jafaar Reductionism has long been a source of concern for thinkers and scholars, as it has been linked to the degradation of several key institutions in modern society, including the economy, science, politics and education. (Kerangka Perbahasan dicadangkan untuk suatu wacana kebangsaan tentang pendidikan negara) Pada wacana Meja Bulat PEMIKIR yang ke 2, salah satu rumusan yang digagaskan ialah terdapat jurang di antara falsafah ketamadunan dan amalan teknokratik dalam pembinaan tamadun tersebut. Wacana kali ini akan cuba meneroka gagasan ini dengan membawa ke meja bulat perbahasan di antara falsafah dan teknokrasi, dan tema tumpuan kali ini ialah bidang pendidikan. Personal Discretion in decision making is a must for academia

Recently we read a posting of how people with talents are hindered from achieving their true potential in academia. ( https://www.malaymail.com/news/malaysia/2019/05/05/returning-home-to-work-ex-nasa-scientist-claims-sidelined-by-patronage-syst/1749791) We, educational entities should adopt a different management philosophy to that of security and  defence entities. While they insist on what cannot be done, our philosophy should focus more on what can possibly done. Our industry is dealing with liberating human mind. We educate people to invite possibilities, explore opportunities. Instead of busy putting up fences, we should at every opportunity creates opening.
